About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – Progressive Care (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)

Location

Winchester, MA | Inpatient

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-hour Night Shifts | Every other weekend required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) | Expected 72 hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)

Key Responsibilities

Provide progressive care-level nursing to patients in an IMC/PCU/Stepdown setting with patient ratios of 1:3–5
Titrate vasopressors (pressor titration ability is required)
Float to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units as needed; floating occurs in 4-hour blocks during shift
Document and manage patient care using Epic electronic health records
Participate in day-one competency testing upon orientation

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts or compact equivalent
BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
Demonstrated ability to titrate pressors
Proficiency with Epic EMR
Candidates who have not previously traveled must have Level 1 trauma experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
NIHSS certification
Level 1 trauma experience (preferred for all candidates; required for first-time travelers)
Prior travel nursing experience in a progressive care or stepdown setting
