Masonry Sales Representative

Glen-Gery Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Brickworks Limited. Brickworks Limited ("The Group") is a large Australian-listed group of companies. The Group has been in operation since the early 1900s, has a market capitalization exceeding $2.5 billion, and operates across 3 core business segments: Building Products, Land & Development, and Investments. The Group employs more than 2,000 FTE employees and operates nationally across Australia, recently acquiring Glen-Gery Corporation to add operations in the USA.

Founded in 1890, Glen-Gery Corporation is one of the nation's largest brick manufacturers and operates eight brick manufacturing facilities. Glen-Gery products are sold nationally through a network of over 500 distributors as well as in Canada. Since entering the USA in 2018, Brickworks have acquired Sioux City Brick, Redland Brick and the distribution business of Southfield Corporation in Illinois and Indiana (Illinois Brick, Indiana Brick). The combined North American business now has more than 900 employees, operates across 40 locations, including 8 brick plants, 26 masonry supply/retail locations and 3 design studios.

Summary: Masonry Sales Representative will act as an ambassador for Brickworks and the Brickworks Supply Yard in Whitmore Lake MI. They will be asked to maintain good relationships with the existing customer base, as well as targeting new business opportunities. The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing sales revenue and profits by developing rapport and selling all our lines of masonry and ancillary products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Establish accounts within the Construction/Masonry community by developing long lasting business relationships with designers, architects, builders, general contractors and masons
• Consistently achieve sales account prospecting and development
• Educate and inform on all masonry and cladding product offerings
• New Product Awareness/Launches
• Hands on Demonstrations when Needed
• Help in Estimating if Needed
• Job site visits and consulting
• Write sales opportunities, quotes and orders
• Coordinate with purchasing, customer service, dispatch, yard staff and other Brickworks Supply employees throughout the sales process
• Effectively communicate with manufacturer reps and plants on products and orders
• Work hard to meet personal and team sales goals and quotas
• Attend meetings, sales events and training sessions - Some evening and overnight travel to be required occasionally
• Use Sales Force to keep contacts, leads and opportunities organized
• Report and provide feedback to management team
• Understand, learn, and potentially develop new trends within the industry
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Effective tactical planning and problem-solving skills
• Proven success in sales
• Should have good PC skills, email, Microsoft Office, and Windows
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Prospecting, negotiating and closing sales
• Should be self-motivated and ambitious

Education/Experience:

• 2+ years in Sales and Masonry product knowledge preferred but not required
• Computer Skills:
• Proficiency with word processing, email, Excel, Sales Force and J.D Edwards
